The Maldives on a budget

The Maldives on a budget ....

I stayed in the island of Maafushi.  Maafushi is just one of the many islands that makes up the the Maldives and where most of the locals lives.  To get here you must fly into MalĂ© and take a ferry or speed boat to the island. I arranged speed boat transfer with the hotel for $25 one way and which took around 35 minutes as oppose to ferry for $2 but takes 90 minutes.

My  stay here was 4 days.
I did a sunset cruise photoshoot which was offered by the hotel for $35 and a day trip for $130 to the over the water bungalows which included meal, all the alcohol  you can drink and transportation.

I  spent a total of $600 for this part of the trip seeing I was coming from Dubai excluding airfare which includes shuttle transportation, hotel, photo-shoot, day trip and food  for the 4 days.

I stayed at the Arena Grand Beach Hotel with my hotel room over looking the beach ... it was beautiful... breakfast was included in the price of the hotel ...  the food was also delicious and service awesome...

I would not waste money on a over the water bungalow starting @ $500 per night and up unless your the traveler who likes to relax and stay one place.
